Bio

I’m fascinated by how our everyday experiences transform into long-lasting memories and how cross-brain communication supports this process. My winding road, studying memory consolidation, has led me from hippocampal codes of space in single cell recordings of flying bats (PhD, Ulanovsky lab, Weizmann institute of Science) to deep brain electrical stimulation during sleep in humans combined with single-neuron recordings (iEEG, epileptic patients, in UCLA’s neurosurgery program). I am currently using spatial cognition as a naturalistic behavioral tool to study the establishment of memories in humans.
